between each breath
we pause, without intent
It is in pause
that we find peace
I'd like to capture those moments of silence and
put them in a tall glass jar - like those fireflies I used to gather gently in my net on those dewy summer nights.
I'd poke holes in the top too.
then I'd put that jar next to my bed
to keep me company while the world sleeps.
Little specks of light in the dark, we strive to be.
